Farweather
Farweather is a town in the Stormcrest islands on the island of Swarrdel that sits a days hike from the coast, on the side of the mountain. The town is large and growing. Lord Harlan makes money off of the mining activities and selling the ore on the coast. People have been moving to the town to find work. It sits at the end of a wooded path that winds through dense forest and rugged terrain, prone to ambushes—such as the recent goblin attack on the cliffside ledge overlooking the road.
The village appears modest and somewhat isolated. The Foggy Mug Inn is a warm, welcoming tavern where travelers can find hearty ale, steaming soup, comfortable rooms for the night, and a crackling fireplace that draws locals and visitors alike. The common room is lively enough for games of dice at the tables, where fortunes can shift quickly.
The community includes a mix of working folk: miners who toil in nearby caves (rough enough to hold grudges over lost ore and bold enough to confront armed adventurers in the inn), as well as passers-by like campers at lonely crossroads who willingly share directions.
Overall, Farweather gives the impression of a hardscrabble frontier outpost—peaceful enough for an evening's respite, but close to wilderness dangers, with an economy tied to mining, hunting, and the comings and goings of adventurers seeking work or bounty on the isle.

The air carries salt and smoke, mingling with tales of distant lands.
Sunken Tower of Hollow Reed
The sunken tower is an ancient structure that was deliberately buried beneath the earth by the hill giant Gormund approximately one hundred years before the adventure. Gormund buried it to seal away its dangers, but dark necromantic powers later compelled villagers to dig it up again, re-exposing it.
The tower’s entrance is hidden on the hillside and must be magically unsealed by Gormund’s ancient chant before the party can descend on thick ropes lowered by the giant.
Once inside, the tower is revealed to be unnaturally clean of dust despite having been buried for a century. It contains the following observed features:

The city is built atop a mountain and has mighty walls that surround it. Tall towers extend into the sky. Cliffs have been terraced and large wooden structures extend out from the mountain. Homes and other buildings are partially built into the cliff faces and are partially built on wooden platforms that are held up by angled wooden posts.

Middle district: The part of the city built directly on the side of the mountain. Parts of this district are carved into the cliffs of the mountain and extend out from the cliffs built on wooden platforms. Parts of this district also lay in the valleys and slopes of the mountain. This part of the district is supposed to only connect to the middle district in order to prevent it from being accessible from the lower district or to prevent it from being used to access the high district. However, no ones knows what all natural caves and tunnels exist in this district. While the middle district is the largest part of the city, the inner district is not explored in full and contains the most mysteries.
